Although a little early to celebrate Christmas cheer, Granny Mouse Country House & Spa has made a special pre-Christmas delivery to their local community, through their improvements of the their local school, the  Lidgetton Community Crèche.

Nestled in the heart of the KwaZulu Natal Midlands, The Lidgetton Community Crèche is the cornerstone of the community, providing education and care for a number of children in the area, including the children of a many Granny Mouse staff, making this project truly close to everyone’s hearts.

According to Granny Mouse General Manager, Sean Granger, “this school is key to our local community, however there are a number of elements which need attention, from general maintenance to painting, fixing pluming issues to create a better working sanitary system, and sealing the windows at the school to keep out the winter chill!”

During the October school holidays, the entire Granny Mouse team descended on this little school, tools and paint buckets in hand, ready to transform the current facilities into a children’s haven, and they certainly succeeded in doing so!

Granger commented that, “it is often difficult for us to get away from the Hotel over the Festive Season, but we still enjoy adding festive cheer to our community, so we got started a little early this year, and the appreciation could not be better felt.”
