With an array of amenities at the bridal party’s disposal, coupled with decadent food and wine options, it is little wonder that the Mouse House wedding calendar is booked up far in advance.

With numerous photographers spending time at Granny Mouse, all of whom have had the privilege of capturing a couple’s special day, Ané du Preez, the Operations Manager of Granny Mouse, took the time to speak to some of these professionals to gain a photographer’s perspective on what they love about capturing weddings at Granny Mouse.

Here is their combined list:

  1. The choice of backdrops: From the tree-lined driveway to the gorgeous and intimate chapel, the Hotel has so many gorgeous hideaways that create the most amazing backdrops for the perfect picture.

  1. The lush gardens: As you meander through the Hotel, the lush gardens change depending on the area in which you find yourselves, allowing for a range of visuals to be taken, however all within the convenience of the Hotel grounds. Whilst many other venues would have you driving around to find a range of garden options, Granny Mouse’s well-thought out garden designs offer endless green options.
  1. Quirky features: Granny Mouse has a host of quirky water features located throughout the grounds that create unique opportunities to capture very different and creative wedding images. This, coupled with falling water truly allows photographers to capture something unique.
  1. Adding a little country: Due to the Hotel’s location, adjacent to many working farms, those who want to add a little country into their pictures can easily do so with the inclusion of livestock, horses and more.
