Granny Mouse County House & Spa Executive Culinary Artist, Wayland Green recently showcased his cooking skills in two fun and interactive cooking demonstrations at the #LoveLocal Festival Chef’s Theatre hosted at Liberty Midlands Mall at the weekend (20-22 October).

Kicking off Sunday’s demos at 11h30, Green was accompanied by Stephanie Soogrin (Marketing Co-Ordinator: Midlands Meander) as he dished up a Lemon and Cajun Prawn dish with Micro Herbs, Rocket, Edible Flowers and an Orange Yoghurt dressing, which was a hit with the spectators.

Jumping right into his next slot at 13h30, Green then welcomed South African Footballer and Maritzburg United F.C Defender, Bevan Fransman, who helped Green cook up a delicious Seared Lamb Loin with Peppered Baby Potatoes, Mint & Port Reduction and Heirloom Carrots.

At the end of each session, Green asked the audience a question and two lucky people who answered correctly, won a R500 meal voucher for Granny Mouse Country House & Spa to spend at either the Bistro Restaurant or the Eaves Fine Dining Restaurant. The winners were Ranjith and Rashmila Bharath (winning couple) and Erin Barnsley (winner). Congratulations!
