After completing Matric, Sean wasted no time in accepting an employment offer from his father at Translux Passenger Services and while working closely with hotels he soon seized an in-house training opportunity at Protea Hotels. Sean\u2019s natural affinity and passion for hospitality flourished at an early stage and he was soon offered a position a position as a deputy general manager at the age of twenty six.<\/p>\n
Today, Sean has managed numerous 5-star hotels such as the likes of Mont La Rochelle in Franschhoek where until recently where he was general manager of both the hotel and the vineyards; Greenways Boutique Hotel in Claremont as the general manager and as the front office manager at the Village Hotel of Spier in Stellenbosch among others. While under Sean\u2019s sterling management, numerous hotels earned studious professional achievements ranging from Best Restaurant<\/i> awarded by Great Wine Capital of the World, Top 10 Best Hotel Restaurant <\/i>by Eat Out People\u2019s Choice Awards to the Trip Advisor Award of Excellence<\/i> and the AA Travel Awards<\/i>. As a recipient of a diamond winner 2011 and gold winner 2009 Diners Club Wine list Competition<\/i>, Sean will ensure that the F&B philosophy remains to the highest standards with Granny Mouse Country House and Spa having won Diamond status for the Diners Club International Winelist Awards<\/i> for three consecutive years.<\/p>\n
As a family man, Sean is not alone in joining the Granny Mouse family as his wife, Chantelle and 2 \u00bd year old son, Liam will be at his side. \u201cGill Bowmaker and the Granny Mouse team not only drew me in with their charm and high standards, but also as a tight knit family.
